About Kids' Scholarship Fund

About Us

When children are empowered to reach their full potential, we start building a better future together.

Mission

Kids’ Scholarship Fund empowers Connecticut children from low-income families to reach their full potential by providing equal access to a high-quality, foundational K-8 education through need-based scholarships that enable families to choose schools where their children can learn, grow, and thrive.

  • Connecticut families seek KSF’s assistance because they want a better life for their children. Parents understand how important it is for their children to attend the K-8 school that best meets the needs and abilities of their children.
  • KSF provides equal access to K-8 accredited private, parochial, religiously-affiliated, or non-residency public schools in Connecticut by awarding up to $2,100 each year. Parents are responsible for the remaining tuition.
  • Parents/guardians qualify if their income level is verified at or within 200% of the Federal Poverty Income level for the size of their family.
  • Residents of Connecticut may apply.

The Challenge

Kids' Scholarship Fund receives more than twice the number of qualified applicant than scholarships available.
